Your ScopeTracker edition connects to a central database which holds the requirements
of one or more projects. 

ScopeTracker uses a Microsoft SQL server Express database which is freely available
from Microsoft. If your organisation already has MS-SQLserver 2005 or 2008 then all
that's needed is to run the provided script to setup the database data structure.

Some IT departments put up bariers to use MS-SQL. To avoid the hassles of getting a
MS‑SQL database up-and-running in your organisation, you can rent a hosted
ScopeTracker database on an annual basis (which in time, you can replace with your
own if you wish).
